Warning Description: Special Statement

Warning Date: 3:39 PM CST on January 27, 2012

WarningSum:...Snow Spreading Over The Area...

Warning Message:Light snow was developing rapidly across much of eastern Iowa...
northwest and western Illinois and northern Missouri. Periods of snow
are expected at most locations through the early evening rush hour
and then diminish later this evening or towards midnight. There
will be bursts of heavier snow with visibilities reduced locally
to less than a mile. As temperatures fall to the freezing mark or
lower this evening accumulating snow may produce slick roads.
Total accumulations this evening will range from around one-half
inch or less north of Interstate 80 to around an inch to the south.
Roads...bridges and overpasses may be slick and hazardous with the
snow accumulations. Be extra cautious on bridges and overpasses as
they will be colder.
